The role of Marketing at healthcare organizations is evolving and many teams now find themselves having to help with advocacy efforts. This is exactly what happened in Massachusetts where mandatory nurse ratios were proposed by the state government. @DanDunlop of Jennings Health led a fantastic panel discussing how they approached this delicate work.
Excellent, honest, transparent conversation about advocacy, quality and the patient. Great stuff #hitmc #hitmc19 @dandunlop @vanessainnh Christina Baratta & Kim Hollon @SignatureHlth pic.twitter.com/fh3X87ZziP

Stephen Herskovitz, Director of Communications, Marketing & Eduction at Mass General Cancer Center neatly summarized what a brand means in healthcare during a panel on Marketing + Patient Experience.

One of the best things about a conference by and for marketers is the creativity that goes into the presentations. Last year there was a HITMC rap performed by Jared Piano. This year’s most creative presentation has to be “Magic Sauce” by Studio North which included, unicorn tears, mixed drinks and lobster claws.
Once again, #HITMC tugs at the heartstrings by showcasing an inspirational #healthcare #marketing campaign. Nice work, @StudioNorthUSA! #MagicMoments #PowerOfMoments #ImNotCryingYoureCrying #MustBeAllergies pic.twitter.com/2anp0beg9r

The mindset for brainstorming memorable moments:
☑️ Less “sell” more “share”
☑️ Focus on them, not us
☑️ Dare to be different
☑️ Take risks#HITmc #HealthIT #Marketing #PR pic.twitter.com/cCrhhonMvi— Jared Jeffery (@Jk_Jeffery) April 19, 2019
Another hallmark of the annual HITMC conference – too many great sessions happening at the same time.

The final day of HITMC is always bittersweet – tons of fun crammed into 3 days but sad that it will be another year before seeing so many members of the community in one place again.
