The new HITMC.com website, officially launching today, will be the central hub for news, updates, resources, thought leadership and practical advice for the Healthcare & IT Marketing Community (HITMC).
For the past several months, the HITMC team has been working hard to update the community’s website. We wanted to incorporate the bold new HITMC brand that was unveiled at the 2018 annual conference (HITMC18) and we wanted to give the site a modern look-and-feel. We also wanted to improve navigation, offer a better user experience and be mobile friendly.
Most importantly, we needed to update the site’s infrastructure in order to accommodate the exciting new programs we plan to launch in the coming months (more on that later).
We are super excited to finally share the new site with the community.
Why a new site?
Quite simply, we wanted a site that better reflected where we were going as community. We wanted something dynamic, fun and easy to navigate. Visually we wanted the site to have a magazine-like feel to it. Unfortunately our prior site didn’t have the features we needed to bring our ideas to life, so we embarked on building a brand new site.
Content from contributors, not just staff writers & editors
Because it is a community site, HITMC.com will have more user-generated content than other Healthcare Scene properties. Sharing knowledge has always been one of the key tenets of the Community, so we felt that the site should feature content from a variety of contributors. Stay tuned for an announcement of our content contributor program.
Above all, we want the site to be valuable so we will work hard to publish useful articles and resources actionable takeaways.
Sharing healthcare marketing & PR news
On the new HITMC.com we want to celebrate successes and milestones from members of the Community. If you have news about a new customer, winning an award, expansion of your team, or a client success story, please send it to us so that we can share with the entire Community via our NEWS section. Not only are we launching a new website, we are also excited to debut a new HITMC newsletter. Each week we will deliver to your inbox a summary of the content published on HITMC.com along with the latest healthcare marketing, PR and communications news. Think of it as a morsel of marketing goodness just for you.
Still the place for community announcements and tweetchat details
HITMC.com is still the place for Community announcements – like where the next HITMC meetup is happening, when the next Tast-of-HITMC event is scheduled and what initiative or program is launching next.
Details for the monthly #HITMC tweetchat are also still on HITMC.com. The monthly chat is officially set for the 2nd Tuesday of each month at noon Eastern. Please join us for an invigorating discussion on Twitter using the #HITMC hashtag…and you are welcome to use that hashtag anytime to share important and interesting news.
Now that the new HITMC.com site has been launched, we are already hard at work on other HITMC initiatives like a webinar series, a revamped HITMC marketplace and a refreshed LinkedIn group.
