Taste-of-HITMC coming to Nashville – Sept 12th 2019

We’re excited to announce that the next Taste-of-HITMC event will be held Thursday September 12th in Nashville Tennessee.

We’re bringing HITMC to the music city because:

  • It’s a cool place to hold an event;
  • Nashville is easy for locals and a great destination for those traveling from further away; and
  • John and I will be in town earlier that week for the annual SHSMD conference

The last Taste-of-HITMC event, held in New York City, was a success so we’re excited to bring it back this fall. You can read about the NYC event here: First Ever Taste-of-HITMC Event Delivers.

The Taste-of-HITMC event is designed to give attendees a little sampling of what happens at the annual HITMC conference. Using a smaller and more intimate setting, our goal is to turn a group of strangers into a group of future friends that will share, advise and help each other. That’s what happens at the annual conference and that’s what will happen at the Taste-of-HITMC.

With this event, we hope to inspire people who are local to Nashville, live within the surrounding area or who are in town on business, to become more active in the Healthcare and IT Marketing Community. It is also our way to help bridge the gap between now and the next annual conference.

The Nashville Taste-of-HITMC event will be a full day:

  • 8:30 – 9:00 Coffee & Connecting
  • 9:00 – 12:00 Interactive Learning Lab: Branding
  • 12:00 – 2:00 Lunch
  • 2:00 – 5:30 Interactive Learning Lab: Marketing & PR through Social Media
  • 4:30 – 7:30 Spontaneous Fun Social Activity (optional)

The Interactive Learning Lab is a unique feature of Taste-of-HITMC. It follows the successful format we used at our New York event. Instead of a lecture-style presentation, each 1hr lab will feature use a 7-ideas-in-17-minutes approach where an industry expert will present 7 ideas to the group in just 17 minutes. That will be followed by a facilitated group discussion where all attendees will work together to translate those ideas into tactics and specific strategies for their organizations.

By the end of the event, everyone will have a list of actionable next steps that can be implemented right away.

After the collaborative learning labs, there will be an optional social event: like touring Broadway, checking out the Parthenon or finding a nice patio.
