On 23 March 2020, the team at Healthcare Scene (HITMC’s parent organization) launched a special program, called Pay-HIT-Forward, that was designed to help the Health IT community. We significantly discounted our four most popular media packages and for each one purchased we would gift a package to a company that needed a boost during this COVID-19 induced economic slow-down. HybridChart is the first recipient of a free promotional package through the Pay-HIT-Forward program, courtesy of Atos.
Atos, a global leader in digital transformation, has long been an active partner of Healthcare Scene’s. “We have collaborated with Atos on a number of projects,” said John Lynn, Founder and Editor-in-Chief at Healthcare Scene. “We are excited to be working with them on another important engagement and we are thrilled because of their generosity, we are able to give away our first Pay-HIT-Forward promotional package to a company that needs it.”
“Atos considers Healthcare IT Today an important strategic partner in our healthcare work,” said Heather Haugen, Chief Science Officer at Atos. “Their team, like ours, is committed to improving healthcare through technology. When the opportunity came up to be part of the Pay-HIT-Forward initiative that gives back to the Health IT startup innovation community, we jumped at the chance. This is exactly the kind of community collaboration and support that is needed at this time. We are proud to support Healthcare IT Today in their effort.”
The lucky recipient of the first Pay-HIT-Forward package is HybridChart, a company that makes a smart rounding and workflow solution for doctors. They were selected randomly from the companies that signed up for the Pay-HIT-Forward program.
“The team here at HybridChart is very excited and honored to be selected as a recipient of a Pay-HIT-Forward media package,” said Dr. Gregory Sanders, Cardiologist and CEO of HybridChart. “It is truly a wonderful program that Healthcare IT Today is running. At this time of crisis, anything that supports and brings the healthcare community together needs to be applauded. We want to thank them and Atos for their generosity.”
Sanders and his team are facing the same challenge that many other Health IT companies are currently facing – gaining buyer attention during this pandemic. “Many physicians and hospitals have other more pressing things now than bringing on a new software platform.” stated Sanders. “Being top-of-mind is challenging.”
Compounding this is the need to conserve cash, something that smaller Health IT companies must do in order to survive this slow-down. As a result, many who would normally have media and advertising as part of their marketing mix are having to find alternatives (social media anyone?). Our Pay-HIT-Forward program helps provide a marketing boost without the need for a company to spend precious resources.
“This is the first of many packages that we will be gifting to Health IT companies,” continued Lynn. “The community has really responded to our Pay-HIT-Forward campaign and we will be making more announcements in the days and weeks to come.”
