One of the aspects I wanted to incorporate into the healthcare and IT marketing conference from the start, was having voices from outside of healthcare share their external experience and knowledge. My goal was to help healthcare marketers stretch their thinking. It is powerful to explore how other industries are pushing the boundaries of marketing. Of course, we may need to adjust the approach a little when adopting those strategies to healthcare (privacy and other considerations), but looking at other industries should help us escape the status quo.
An even better way to gain this outside perspective is to add someone to your healthcare marketing team who has experience in other industries. That’s what happened when HITMC Rising Star Award winner, Jasdeep Mann, Director of Marketing & Strategy at ReMedi Health Solutions, was added to the team. Mann had marketing experience in other industries, but was new to healthcare.
