2019 Medigy HITMC Award Winners

On Friday April 19th the 2019 Medigy HITMC Awards were handed out at the annual Healthcare & IT Marketing Conference. The Awards are meant to showcase and acknowledge the amazing work being done in healthcare marketing and PR. They are an extension of the Healthcare & IT Marketing Community (HITMC).

Fifteen winners from a shortlist of finalists were announced in individual, health IT and provider categories.

Patient Advocate of the Year – Grace Cordovano

Grace always pushes people to consider the patient perspective. She is a realist, genuine, inspiring, and creative. Grace is passionate, engaged, kind and a wonderful person. She is an asset to the healthcare community.

Podcast of the Year – Creating a New Healthcare hosted by Zeev Neurwirth MD

Dr. Neuwirth’s podcast is informative, funny and always relevant. He chooses incredible guests for his interviews and covers healthcare from a fresh perspective. His easy-going style and deep healthcare knowledge makes this podcast a must-listen.

Provider: Best Marketing/PR Program – Renown Health

Renown Health was doing AMAZING, innovative work, but no one knew about it. They needed to raise their organization’s national profile, so they developed a thought-leadership content marketing campaign aimed at #healthcare influencers.

Provider: Best Social Media Use – Ochsner

Ochsner’s social media program focuses on reaching new audiences, engaging followers, storytelling through video and innovation. They used Facebook Live to help address concerns and questions about newborn health. Where other organizations shy away from social media, Ochsner is embracing it.

Provider: Best Website Redesign – Cape Cod Healthcare

Cape Cod Healthcare invested in strategy before, during, and after their redesign and the new site is delivering value to consumers and the health system. It had been five years since they had refreshed their website but by working closely with their agency Geonetric, they created a new site that was focused on patients at every turn.

Provider: Marketing/PR Team of the Year – Spectrum Health Care

The small but mighty team at Spectrum has that something that winning teams possess: grit! They are determined, driven and resourceful. Most impressive is their desire to learn & grow, while producing measurable results.

Health IT: Ad of the Year – Medhost

Healthcare videos tend to be very informative, but not very entertaining. Medhost and IV Studios set out to make something that would make viewers smile, interrupting their day with something that entertains as well as informing them, making it more memorable and engaging. The video has transformed how Medhost has gone to market and has made a substantial impact on conversion.

Health IT: Best Giveaway – The Sequioa Project

The sequoia seeds are a memorable giveaway that have proven to be very popular at events. I love that not only is this a metaphor for our work, but our name as well. Folks are very excited when they see them and usually take several packets.

Health IT: Best Marketing/PR Program – The Health Collaborative

The Health Collaborative’s new hyper-personalized newsletter achieved a 30% open rate (8% higher than the national average) and an impressive 19% clickthru rate which is six times the national average of 3%.

Health IT: Best Social Media Use – Fortinet

Fortinet has really upped their social media game this year with the help of KoMarketing. Through Twitter, Fortinet shares relevant industry content and interesting pictures from the many conferences they attend. They have also integrated social into their other marketing programs – increasing the organic reach of their content.

Health IT: Best Tradeshow Theme – Voalte

To grab the attention of HIMSS19 attendees, the Voalte Marketing team created an eye-catching “Power Up” booth theme with a focus on real customer results. The booth was open, inviting and allowed the team to hold multiple demos without feeling crowded.

Health IT: Marketing/PR Team of the Year – Solutionreach

The small team at SR used elbow grease to increase their content views 10x, from 13K to 139K and their CTA clicks from <1K to over 8.7K in just one year. The team also runs a very successful webinar series that benefits clients as well as attracts new prospects.

Agency of the Year – Clarity Quest Marketing

The Clarity Quest team is a great partner. They truly understand how to prioritize marketing initiatives and investments based on the stage and budget of your business. The volume, quality & accuracy of the work they did in such a short time was unbelievable.

Marketing/PR Person of the Year (Agency) – Stacy Goebel, StudioNorth

You can’t help but be inspired by Stacy Goebel. She is innovative, strategic and a true leader. Stacy created the TechVision LIVE! Social video program that showcased CDW’s experts and solutions. Audiences were able to ask questions & get answer in real-time.

Marketing/PR Person of the Year (Health IT) – Sarah Bennight, Stericycle Communication Solutions

Sarah has built trust not only on her team, but within the entire organization. She has exceeded all expectations in her role. She started a Client Advisory Board, product release support and launched our new brand – all in the last 12 months.
