Style + Substance – Matter Health + HITMC Webinar Delivers

Last week, we had held the first HITMC webinar team-up with our friends at Matter Health. It was a fantastic event that was both stylish and educational. The video team at Matter Health really upped the ante with high production quality and a studio backdrop for the hosts.

Although we have done a few online events like Virtual HITMC20, we hadn’t yet tried a HITMC webinar. So, when Ryan Lilly, Vice President and Paul Berthiaume, Director of Accounts at Matter Health approached us with the idea of collaborating on a webinar we jumped at the chance.

High quality production

Right from the start, we wanted to make this webinar stand out from the sea of others that we have all be attending/organizing during this pandemic. Luckily, Matter Health had recently completed a new studio at their office and had the in-house talent to produce high quality video.

We also wanted to make the webinar more than a lecture. The team at Matter came up with the idea of getting a few members of the HITMC community on-camera. But rather than just asking them to use their standard webcams, Matter shipped them special equipment with which to record themselves.

The result was a very engaging webinar with smooth video, awesome sound and a few unexpected visuals. This “over-the-shoulder” view of the interviewer with the interviewee on a TV screen was my favorite.

Pivoting key to thriving in this strange time

The webinar was titled “The Permanent Pivot” and was centered around the idea that pivoting away from pre-pandemic marketing tactics was necessary to survive and thrive in these uncertain times. We also wanted to explore the possibility that these pivots, when proven successful, might become permanent.

Lilly and Berthiaume hosted the webinar. Joining them were four talented marketing leaders:

  1. Sarah Bennight, Director of Product Marketing at Stericycle Communication Solutions and 2019 HITMC Marketer of the Year
  2. Lacey Hautzinger, Senior Director of External Communications at HMS
  3. Alexandra Bimonte, Senior Marketing Communications Lead at Modernizing Medicine
  4. Matt DiVenere, Senior Content Speciality at naviHealth

…who all shared how they pivoted their marketing strategies as the pandemic disrupted the well laid plans for 2020.
